Route DescriptionNot a massive ride but a good one. Mastilles Lane is an ancient transport route historically used by traders carrying their wares to market, farmers moving cattle, and originally by the Romans. It crosses the fells from Wharfedale over to Malham forming a central part of this route.
The route back over the fells is just as good crossing north of the Mastilles Lane via Cote Gill. Look out for the paragliders launching off Hawkswick Clowder towards the end of the route.
